Overview:
The Accounts Personnel will play a critical role in managing Goge Africa’s financial processes, maintaining compliance, and supporting the organization’s client and partner relationships. This role requires proficiency in financial management, administrative support, and strategic analysis, ensuring the smooth execution of projects such as the Destination West Africa Project (DWAP).
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and maintain budgets for various projects, ensuring expenses align with allocated funds.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, providing actionable insights to enhance financial performance.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile financial records, including bank statements, to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Invoicing and Payments: Generate invoices for clients and sponsors, and process payments to vendors and partners promptly.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing returns and managing payroll tax deductions.
Client and Partner Relations:
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and sponsors, addressing inquiries related to financial matters and ensuring timely payment collections.
- Proposal Support: Collaborate with teams to develop financial proposals and budgets for sponsorships, partnerships, and grants.
Administrative Support:
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation for audits and address findings to maintain financial integrity.
- Policy Implementation: Enforce compliance with Goge Africa’s financial policies and recommend process improvements.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure systems are updated with current data for seamless tracking.
Strategic Contributions:
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs while preserving project quality.
- Revenue Tracking: Monitor income streams from initiatives, including tourism promotions and media content.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide recommendations for project expansion and sustainability.
Working Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate project deadlines and reporting timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in media, tourism, or creative industries.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local and international financial regulations and tax laws.
