Bayelsa State Emerge Overall Winner of NAFEST 2020, Ekiti to Host Next Edition

Nigeria is proudly the cultural capital of the world. And in celebration of her many unique cultures, NAFEST (National Festival for Arts and Culture), has been the platform where all states of the country, converge to showcase her rich cultural assets.

It was an assemblage of Nigerian culture at the NAFEST 2020 edition. All in celebration of her distinct cultures, heritage, arts and craft, 26 states slugged it out in their diverse creative performances on the Plateau for ten days. The end of the 33rd edition hosted by Plateau State,  featured keenly contested performances across indigenous music, dance, fabric and fashion, games, and birthed a new champion, Bayelsa state.

Ekiti and Rivers states came second. Plateau, the host state, emerged third. Placing fourth in the table log was Kano and Enugu states. And at fifth place are the states of Delta, FCT and Kaduna.

Earning the hosting right of the 34th edition of NAFEST (2021) is the home of Ikogosi, Ekiti state.
