It was an afternoon of nostalgic memories, recollections and emotions as the Goge Africa Couple, Isaac and Nneka, celebrated the challenges they overcame in 24 years of their union and 22 years as business partners at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites.
In a society where the institution of marriage is constantly challenged, the couple, though celebrities, has weathered the storms of marriage, including a 13-year wait for a child: After loosing their first child at 8 months and 2 weeks (still birth).
The event which drew friends, family and well-wishers of the couple, was a platform to reel the sustaining values of their relationship, while reinforcing the commitment to relationships. In an interesting session, the couple led the audience through their journey together.
Also present was a life coach, Princess Adenike Adedoyin-Ajayi, whose session “Sailing the Ship of Relationship” echoed the basic principles of sustaining relationship to a raptourous accolade from the audience.
Sharing testimonials of their early humble beginning, the couple were overtaken by emotions of flowing words.
Flanked by participants, the 24th anniversary cake crafted by Cakesetal.ng was cut by the couple.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet at the Kuramo Spots Cafe, while gifts and take away capped the day for every guest.
The raffle draw was moderated by Lilian Amah-Aluko while Chikamara Isaac-Moses picked the lucky winners via a lucky dip.
The couples who won a cruise with Goge Africa are Mr & Mrs Ehizuwa and Fred Keguna
Mr & Mrs Tobi and Olutaller Akinwole.
