National Theatre To Get A Face-lift

National Theatre

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially handed over the National Arts Theatre complex at Iganmu Lagos to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Bankers Committee, to renovate, modernize and upgrade the facility.

It is indeed a new dawn for the tourism and entertainment industry as this national heritage is set to get a well-deserved makeover. This couldn’t have come at a better time considering the current economic outlook as a result of the ongoing #Covid19 pandemic.

This turnaround is estimated to take 18 months to realise and is expected to invigorate the industry, boost the creativity of stakeholders, create thousands of jobs in the sector and transform the facility into a world-class Creative Industrial Centre. Exciting times are ahead.

We can only hope and trust that the project will be managed with Accountability and transparency. That all plans for the project to boost the industry and economy, and create more jobs and opportunities for the youth will be fully realized.

What do you think of the Federal Government’s decision? Do you think this is a good move for the industry and economy? Please share your thoughts.

What do you think?
