Lagos State Government to Partner Goge Africa on Tourism Training

Lagos State Partner Goge Africa

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, has shown interest to partner Goge Africa in the capacity building of tourism entrepreneurs. This revelation was made by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Pharm. Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf at the official presentation of certificates to the state nominee at the recently concluded tourism training, by Goge Africa founders, Isaac and Nneka Moses.

Expressing appreciation to Goge Africa for accepting to train the staff of the ministry, she remarked that Goge Africa is a household organization to Lagosians and even within Africa, with a tested and trusted capacity to deliver.

According to her, “we would be so happy to still continue to partner with you. And for the training, I think we need to do more beyond just having a staff being trained under your organization.  So, we look forward to train much more, because I know, it would be more valuable if you can train few other staffs as well to have that experience”, she said.

While accessing the competitive position of Lagos state as a tourism destination, she noted that Lagos state aims to attain competitive status with top destinations in the world like Dubai. Thus, to attain this zenith, she informed that the Ministry is open to support stakeholders and practitioners in the tourism industry.

In her response, Goge Africa’s MD, Nneka Isaac Moses noted that Goge Africa had maintained a cordial relationship with Lagos State from when it was birthed till date.

She further stated that the organization has an existing relationship with notable brands and states who have indicated their interests to collaborate with them while anticipating a partnership with Lagos State.

Other officials of the ministry who were present at the presentation include the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Solomon Bonu; Director of Tourism, Mrs. Ada Oni; S.A. to the Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Ferdinand Tinubu; HOD, Monument Management, Mr Tunde Lawal; Dir. Tourism Promotion, Mr  Aminu Omosun; Director, Research and Development, Mrs Yetunde Simpson.
