Goge Africa Honours Tradition at the Enstoolment of Mr. Ahmed Naaman as Abokomahen of Biriwa

Mr. Ahmed Naaman enstooled as Abokomahen of Biriwa

Goge Africa, in its continued commitment to celebrating African heritage and promoting cultural diplomacy, proudly joined the people of Biriwa in Ghana’s Central Region to witness and honour a historic moment — the enstoolment of Mr. Ahmed Naaman, CEO of Dodi Travel and Tours, as the Abokomahen of Biriwa.

The Goge Africa team, led by its dynamic founders, Ambassadors Isaac and Nneka Moses, attended the colorful traditional ceremony which blended time-honoured rites, drumming, dancing, and deep expressions of communal pride. In recognition of Mr. Naaman’s contributions to Ghana’s tourism sector and his efforts to promote culture and tourism across West Africa and beyond, the traditional council of Biriwa bestowed upon him the revered chieftaincy title — an honour that now charges him with supporting local development and tourism advancement in the region.

Also in attendance was Ms. Tracy Osakwe, the representative of the Gambia Tourism Board in Nigeria, Ghana, and Togo. Her presence further underscored the growing synergy among West African nations working to strengthen intra-African tourism through collaboration, visibility, and shared cultural values. Also present to witness the ceremony was a high powered delegation from Ghana’s tourism sector, comprising of government representatives from the Ghana Tourism Board and private sector players drawn from the Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF), the Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA), and the Tourism Society of Ghana (TOSOGHA).

Ambassador Isaac Moses commended Mr. Naaman’s visionary leadership in the tourism industry and his unwavering support for the Destination West Africa Project (DWAP) — an initiative powered by Goge Africa that champions seamless travel, cultural exchange, and economic integration across the sub-region. “Mr. Naaman is not only a tourism ambassador in words, but in action. His dedication to connecting the dots across West Africa — from Kumasi to Lagos to Banjul — is remarkable. Today, we celebrate not just a new chief, but a symbol of Pan-African unity and cultural preservation,” he said.

The enstoolment ceremony served as a powerful reminder of how tradition can coexist with modern progress, especially when leaders like Mr. Naaman use their platforms to bridge communities, empower local economies, and tell Africa’s stories authentically.

Goge Africa remains committed to spotlighting such milestones, creating platforms where culture, tourism, and enterprise converge for the benefit of African people. We salute Chief Ahmed Naaman — the Abokomahen of Biriwa — and look forward to the positive transformation his new role will inspire.
